Q. PRIDE/EGO?
Good, now I get to play
the preacher.... that
sings.... to the choir.
Of course to be
proud of someone else for their accomlishments
and otherwise, to be full of
yourself for your 'greatness' are two very different ways
of looking at pride.
The Ego is a 'baser/lesser'
natured creature
and can only lift you 'so high' from the physical.
It may feel good to begin with.. grand indeed..but watch out, because it is a trap!
To be totally
seperated from the physical , is commonly, what we call death.
To be partially seperated is what we call 'glee' because it actually
feels so good.
The farther you get from the body, as a spirit, the better
you feel.
This is why so many get hooked on drugs and the like, because
it seperates the spirit from the body and that feels good to have that
mush less pressure/connection, on the spirit.
So when you devote your energies toward a lesser nature, well, the only
result from planting corn seeds, is to reap corn from the soil. After
it grows.
Baser nature only can equate to the higher nature if knowledge comes
into play. This involves remembering. This also involves careing.
If you care and if you remember, then you will learn.
Otherwise you will continue to exist until you actually do.
Do you love you body? That is good.
Do you love yourself?
Yes. Good again.
You cannot give fruit from your tree if it has none growing on it.
First for yourself and then for others.
Self respect and pride are not the same. Only similar.
The degree that you carry any activity to....determines the final
outcome of that situation.
What ever it may be.
Where you devote your energies in your life will show as life unfolds
for you and as you notice the results of your thoughts and actions.
Do they work well for you? Do they need to change?
We must all have and use "pride" properly.
Like any poison.
Just the right amount can cause cures and miracles.
Too much will defintely cause death.
